Recent Matters
You can now see recent Matters—or Matters that you’ve recently opened in LexWorkplace—much the same way you can see recent Documents. To do this, click Recent in the Global (top) Navigation. You’ll see a column for recent Documents (as you always have) and now an additional column for recent Matters.
Document Notes Visible in List View
The Internal Notes field has been a function of LexWorkplace since its creation. With it, you can enter free-form notes about the document, visible only to people in your firm that have access to that matter or location.
With this most recent LexWorkplace release, you can now see if a document has Internal Notes from the Document List View (Documents tab). Now, any document that has an Internal Note will show a note icon in the List View.
You can hover your mouse cursor over the icon to see a preview of the note itself.
You can use the Filter box (at the top of the Notes column) to filter by contents of a note.
If this feature isn’t useful for your firm, you can also hide the Notes column, like any other.
Duplicate Document
You can now duplicate any document in LexWorkplace without having to manually copy and paste. Simply click the three-dot menu next to any Document and click Duplicate Document.
Convert to PDF Now Shows in Version History
Now in LexWorkplace, when you convert a Microsoft Word document to a PDF, the PDF (output) file will indicate this in the version history of the PDF. This provides added clarity to all users in your firm as to the origin of a particular PDF (including the Document ID of the source Word document).
Long Document Names: Hover Over Document Name to See Full Name
Sometimes a document’s name is too long to see it in its entirety on the Document List view (Documents tab) even with the column stretched to max width. Now, when you hover your cursor over any document name, you’ll see the full name of the document in a tooltip (pop-up text). This is especially useful for document names that get truncated in the list view.
Hover Over Version Comments to See Full Comment
Sometimes a version comment is too long to fit in the Version Comment field (in the Document Properties screen). Now, when you hover your mouse cursor over any Version Comment, you’ll see the entire comment in a tooltip (pop-up text).
Search: Exclude Deleted Documents
LexWorkplace Search now excludes deleted documents by default. You can still opt to include deleted documents in your search at any time
Other Quality-of-Life Updates + Bugfixes
Updated buttons on Document Properties screen to fold into Action drop-down with small or narrow windows
Updates to the Search results page to accommodate for small or narrow windows
Updates to the Recent and Favorite drop-downs to better handle long file names
