Copy Document URL/Link
By popular demand, we added a quick and easy way to copy the URL of any document in LexWorkplace.
Now, when you hover your mouse over a document, you’ll see a new link icon (to the left of the Preview and AI icons).
When you click this icon, the full URL (link) to the document will be copied to your clipboard.
Such as:
https://lexworkplace.app/docs/358
This process is tantamount to going to a document’s Properties page, then copying the URL in the address bar of your browser.
Security and Access
This document URL is usable only by members of your firm and then only to users that have access to the Matter or location where the given document resides.
Copying a document’s URL is useful for a number of tasks, including:
Sending a link to a particular document to a coworker by email
Sending a link to a particular document to a coworker by Slack, Teams, or another messaging service
Linking to a particular document in another application
Bookmarking a particular document (though you can always mark the document as a Favorite for a similar effect)
Improvement to Clio Manage Integration
As part of our Clio Manage integration, we’ve made it easier to see the links between matters in Clio and LexWorkplace.
When you go to either create a New Matter from Clio or link an existing LexWorkplace matter to one in Clio, you’ll see a list of your Clio matters and can search them (this is the core functionality of the integration).
Now, you can see:
If a Clio matter is already linked to a LexWorkplace matter, LexWorkplace will indicate the matching LexWorkplace matter, and:
You can click the link to jump right to that matter in LexWorkplace
This can be especially useful if there are differences in matter names between systems.
