Introduction
The latest email management functionality, including Smart-File, is only available in the latest version of the LexWorkplace Outlook add-in, called LexWorkplace for Outlook.
Microsoft 365 Only
LexWorkplace for Outlook only works with Outlook via a Microsoft 365 subscription. LexWorkplace for Outlook is not compatible with on-premise or hosted Exchange.
Administrator Setup Required
Important: The LexWorkplace for Outlook add-in will not function until your Microsoft 365 Administrator has completed the following steps
For Microsoft 365 Administrators
The administrator of your firm’s Microsoft 365 organization must complete the following steps (once, for your entire firm).
Click "Click here to add the LexWorkplace for Outlook App Registration to your Microsoft 365 Organization (Entra ID)"
Sign in with your Microsoft 365 administrator account
Review the permissions and click "Accept" to enable LexWorkplace for Outlook across your organization
What This Does
This process accomplishes a number of necessary tasks within your Microsoft 365 account.
Grants necessary permissions for the add-in to access Outlook data
Enables all users in your organization to use LexWorkplace for Outlook
Allows secure integration between Outlook and LexWorkplace
You may now notify your users that LexWorkplace for Outlook is ready for use.
Your Users: Getting Started
Once the above steps have been complete, your users can begin using the addin within their Outlook (Classic, New or Web/OWA).
To do this, users should:
Open Outlook
Look for the LexWorkplace buttons in the Outlook ribbon
Click the LexWorkplace button to open the add-in side-panel
Sign in with your LexWorkplace credentials
Begin saving emails to matters
